1. When it's quiet, the cats are either asleep or up to no good.

2. Probably because it's true, I haven't blogged in what seems like a month.

3. My heart is working as it should.

4. I don't have many family or friends with birthdays in July.

5. In the town where I was born lived a man who sailed the seas. And he told us of his life in the land of submarines.

6. The ability to make me laugh when I don't think I can is something I really love about my significant other / friend.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to catching up with my podcasts, tomorrow my plans include organizing the office and Sunday, I want to enjoy the shish kebab that the AED plans to BBQ!

1. My car may be 10 years old, but it still feels new to me.

2. The weather has been so strange recently that it's hard to tell what is coming up next.

3. Lately, things seem to pile up around me faster than I can get rid of them.

4. Telling you that a certain location is one of my favorite 'hiding' places defeats the whole purpose of having a hiding place.

5. What happened to people having basic manners and treating one another with respect?

6. I can't believe it when people tell me that conquering Mount Laundry is not impossible!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to playing games online with my sister, tomorrow my plans include an attempt to scale Mount Laundry and Sunday, I want to enjoy the Eid celebrations with my family!

And...here we go!

1. He was a rather strange fellow, but I liked him anyway.

2. Winter is what I look forward to most this time of year.

3. My best friend is an Amazing Egyptian Dude.

4. I am not very comfortable at the moment to be honest with you.

5. Appearances can be disgusting, especially when you've got a drain with blood in it hanging around your neck.

6. The last person I gave a hug to was the Amazing Egyptian Dude to thank him for going to the market to get me some Diet Dr. Pepper even though he is completely exhausted.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to doing as little as possible, tomorrow my plans include absolutely nothing and Sunday, I want to do even less than on Friday and Saturday!

1. When will I be loved?

2. Christian Amanpour's report on the children of Gaza that was on CNN last night was the last good book I read or movie I saw or tv show I watched.

3. Everything has its beauty but not every eye can see it.

4. Egyptian style macaroni and salad is what I had for dinner.

5. I'd like your attention, please.

6. On top of Old Smokey is where I want to be right now.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to catching up on all the work that didn't get done while my laptop was down, tomorrow my plans include harvesting the crops I planted in Farm Town tonight and Sunday, I want to see what happens!

1. The last one before fall is my favorite summertime day.

2. My favorite John Hughes movie is The Breakfast Club.

3. Although difficult to find, the edge of sanity is something I love to touch.

4. The full moon inspires all kinds of interesting things.

5. I should be asleep right now.

6. When daylight fades , it's twilight time.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to falling asleep early, tomorrow my plans include catching up on the work waiting for me at the office and Sunday, I want to relax and read!

1. Genuine health care reform, contrary to what some people think and politicians claim, is not the end of the world.

2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I wonder which medication is causing such a hallucination.

And...here we go!


1. The last thing I ate was a handful of raspberries and a cup of coffee.

2. A bag of Gummy Bears is something I recently bought.

3. When it rains, it eases California's drought and prevents us from having to go on water rationing.

4. Because it's only 2:15 a.m. at the moment, Maggie the cat was the first person I talked to today.

5. Hugs are ok once in a while, but they really are not my thing; I'm not a touchy-feely kind of person.

6. All my life I slept with a single pillow; however, after having brain surgery three years ago, I need a nest of them to provide my head and neck with extra comfort.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to reviving an old game of Pharaoh so that I can continue building ancient Egypt, tomorrow my plans include cleaning out the Amazing Egyptian Dude's side of the closet and getting rid of a bunch of old clothes that he no longer wears and Sunday, I want to finally conquer the laundry mountain!

1. When I heard that I needed brain surgery, I did lots of research before making a decision to go ahead with it.

2. Prevention is the best medicine.

3. It's late, but I don't sleep much anyway.

4. Even on the worst of days, I try to remain positive always.

6. "Go ahead, make my day," she said strongly.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hearing that an elderly friend who was hospitalized last night with pneumonia is doing better, tomorrow my plans include a trip to the hospital to visit my friend and Sunday, I want to recover from Saturday's family gathering at my house!

1. All children alarm their parents, if only because you are forever expecting them to think before they act.

2. Show me a good loser and I will show you a gracious person.

3. Cleaning litterboxes is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs at one time. (Sorry, but I can't stand the taste of liqueur in chocolate!)

4. Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy blogging and tweeting.

5. I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine a pin-up girl and a rocket scientist.

6. It is impossible to think of any good meal, no matter how plain or elegant, without onions or garlic in it.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a headache free sleep, tomorrow my plans include a doctor's appointment and a graduation party and Sunday, I want to wish my dad Happy Father's Day!

Yikes, but these were tough!
